A Space I Know is There

I joined up with amBi in 2017, at a time when I was feeling very isolated. I had just come out to my biological family for the second time, my first relationship with a woman had ended abruptly, and I was feeling a lack of support in my (mostly straight & monogamous) friend group. I was in a vulnerable space and navigating uncharted waters.

Yet, amBi gave me a lot of hope just by existing. When I got a bit braver and started going to PRIDE parades, amBi was always the group I looked forward to seeing the most. Running under the big pink, purple, and blue flag brought me so much joy. It made me feel like I was home!
