The Lavender Library’s Other Mic Night is hosted by local comedians Shahera Hyat and Melissa McGillicuddy.
This comedy open mic prioritizes BIPOC, trans, and women comics. Sign-ups begin the night of, starting at 6:45 p.m. The comedy starts promptly at 7:00 p.m.
More about this event: The Other Mic is created and run by community comics to create more opportunities and space for those that have ever felt like they had to check "other" whenever people asked about gender or sexual identity and race. This is a place where folks who have either never tried stand-up before or they are just working out material for their next special. Priority sign-ups go to queer & trans folks, women, and people of color. Allies are welcome!!
This event is free to attend. Donations to support the Lavender Library to keep the space running are always welcome.
